Do you find yourself grieving the loss of a dream, clinging onto a past that seems far better than the present, with no idea what the future holds?
Are you feeling like you’re in a rut in one or more areas of your life…perhaps work, relationships, health, goals, realizing your potential, living in the line-up in life rather than living life itself, overwhelmed by choices and underwhelmed by the present or your own truth?
Do you find yourself experiencing an inner restlessness that just won’t go away no matter what you do to shake things up?
Divorce, death of a loved one, changes in health, job loss, retirement …adjusting to major transitions in life can be very tumultuous times for a person, couple, or family. Often, things will sort themselves out. At other times, these losses or changes are so overwhelming that it is easy to become stuck. Life drags on, becoming more about existing than thriving/being alive. “Tomorrow will be better”, but tomorrow never arrives.
“So now what?” you might find yourself thinking.
Sometimes we think we should be happy. You might be asking yourself “I don’t feel I even know who I am anymore. Why can’t I just pick myself up and get on with life?” When ‘life happens’, it can be difficult to muster the energy to create effective strategies for finding our way back to ourselves. For finding the passion and purpose to our lives once again. For finding the right amount of balance while juggling multiple responsibilities and hats worn.
Mary-Jean can help. Mary-Jean understands what it is to be confronted with significant life change and challenges, and has developed a keen level of understanding into the inner resources needed to not only be in and move through life transitions, but also to gain wisdom from the teachable moments that appear in those situations.
Most people simply accept their physical gender without questioning it. This is because their core identity aligns with their assigned birth sex. This alignment occurs in a large portion of the population, however there are a significant number of people who feel at odds with their physiology, often beginning at an early age. They might find themselves living in the wrong body, known as gender dysmorphia.
The journey towards living an authentic life is everyone’s journey, coming to fully inhabit who we experience our true selves to be. For transgendered individuals, the process and reality of living and expressing one’s true self can be very challenging and complex. Mary-Jean works with individuals from teenagers to people later in life as well as family members, who find themselves working through the challenge of defining and transitioning into the fullest expression of their authentic identity.
